New renewable and firming capacity
During FY23 we continued our strong track record of developing renewable generation and energy storage projects. The Torrens Island Battery (250 MW) and the Broken Hill Battery (50 MW) are in the final stages of construction and commissioning, with both projects expected to be complete in H1FY24. In June 2023 AGL entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tilt Renewables (in which AGL has 20% ownership) to offtake 45% of the output from the Rye Park Wind Farm in New South Wales (with that share equivalent to 513 GWh per annum derived from 178 MW).
