Equivalent availability factor
AGL's Equivalent Availability Factor (EAF) performance was below budget in FY23, however was an improvement compared to FY22 as a result of higher availability at Bayswater and Liddell power stations. Liddell Power Station achieved higher availability compared to FY22 until its closure in April 2023. Bayswater Power Station also achived higher availability due to fewer boiler tube leak outages and fewer planned outages. Loy Yang A Power Station had lower availability than the prior year due to the continuation of the Unit 2 outage from FY22. Gas generation assets achieved a lower overall availability than the prior year due to the Torrens B2 major outage. Renewable assets had a lower overall availability than prior year due to outages at Macarthur Wind Farm and Hydro's Bogong tunnel head race outage.
